To show ABS-CBN that fans of Angel seriously want to see Imortal this year, there is a trending project in Twitter for Imortal.

What is trending?  Basically, it is called trending topic or “TT” which means we want Imortal to appear in Twitter’s list as the number one topic worldwide for a certain hour. 

For those who have no Twitter account, please create one.  All you need is an email address to sign up.  Click here to go to Twitter.

Things to note:

1. Include “Imortal” and “Angel Locsin” in all your tweets.  If we can include both of them in TT the better.  Also, let’s take this opportunity to put Angel Locsin’s name at the international level once again.
2. Create your own tweets but do RT of other tweets also.  Besides, doing RT is much faster especially using Tweetdeck since you can RT using multiple accounts at the same time.  To install Tweetdeck, click here.
3. Post tweets as fast as you can within the 2 hour period (8:00 PM to 10:00 PM).  You can prepare your tweets in advance by writing them down in Word or Notepad before the trending time.  You can then do copy and paste at the appointed trending time.  Make sure to put Imortal and Angel Locsin at the beginning or middle of your tweets so that when people do RT, both words will not be removed.
4. Create multiple Twitter accounts.  Avoid using your personal account because it might get suspended.  There is a limit on the number of tweets you can send per account within a day.  If you post tweets very fast (which you must), you will definitely reach the limit within 1 hour of trending.  Make sure also to minimize your tweets before the trending time.  Note:  It is easier to use Hushmail in creating multiple email addresses for your multiple twitter accounts.  To create a Hushmail email address, click here.

Please help in spreading this trending project to your friends, co-supporters of Angel and John Lloyd, forums, blogs and fan  pages in Facebook.  Let’s do it angels!!!

If you are a die-hard supporter of Angel Locsin, you will notice that angels (fans of Angel) consider this poll very important.  Since the inception of this annual poll by Starmometer in 2006, Angel has been the undefeated title holder for 4 years.  Now on its 5th year, will we still be able to retain the title? 

This post is just a heads up that the nomination has started.  The elimination process is basically the same except for the top 20 finalists who will battle it out this year though Starmometer’s Facebook Page.  This is a new process and it is not clear yet if this process is for the final round because knowing cd (the blogger), he always changing it at midstream.  To read more about the mechanics, check out Starmometer here.

For the first time, I saw in full today the latest TV commercial of Angel Locsin for Head & Shoulders.  Actually, I saw the other part the other day while watching one of ABS-CBN’s TV series in youtube.  Last night, I saw the remaining part so I was able to join the full TVC together.  You may notice a tiny gap towards the middle which is really not noticeably if you don’t look at it closely.

This video is for fans of Angel who have not seen yet this TVC.

Although we do not have a definite month yet, an assurance that this TV series will be shown this 2010 is better than “soon” in my book.  Click here for our previous story on Imortal update. 

Although John Lloyd mentioned a week ago that Imortal was taping already on its fourth week but ABS-CBN clarified that it is not ready to air yet because the effects are intensive.  Another thing to watch out for in Imortal is RPG (Role Playing Game).

Angel Locsin was the featured guest on the Simply KC show aired today.  This is a self-titled weekday talk show of KC Concepcion in ABS CBN which other news portal reported recently will be ending its first season by late August without any plan for extension.

Angel shared stories of what motivated her in working hard which we already know since Angel has been consistent about her desire to help her family especially her blind Dad.  The part that I like best is on what Angel has shared about her immersion experience with the Nomad in Mindanao.  I believe it is Angel’s way of raising our social awareness on the plight of our ‘kababayan’ in Mindanao and I salute her for that.  Click here to read about Angel’s immersion.

I heard the Simply KC show production crew had setup a temporary set within the Imortal set to accommodate the guesting of Angel for the show.  That’s how much the show wanted Angel to appear as a guest.  As a fan, we highly appreciate it because it has been awhile since we saw Angel in our TV screen.

Seeing the good on-screen chemistry of Angel and Luis in recently released Myra E TV commercial, supporters of this couple has been anticipating for another on-screen project for them.

Both Luis and John Lloyd have not worked with Angel in the past except for two TV commercials of Luis with Angel and pairing of John Lloyd with Angel in ABS CBN’s previous two station IDs.  Interestingly, Luis and John Lloyd played as gay lovers in Star Cinema movie “In My Life” that was released last year. 

Angel is currently busy taping with John Lloyd their much anticipated TV series, Imortal, which is their first project together.  ABS CBN is set to air Imortal “soon”.

Below is the screen capture of the actual poll result.  Note that the poll question about “Your Song” is hypothetical and there is no such project for Angel at present.  Thank you angels for participating.

Tonight, please watch out for Angel Locsin’s own produced and starred movie, “Angels“, at 10:30 PM in SNBO in GMA-7 network.

Have you noticed that Angel’s old movies are getting featured by GMA-7 network more frequently recently?  The last featured movie of Angel and Richard Gutierrez, I Will Always Love You, in Kapuso Movie Festival at GMA-7 Network on 10th August ruled the rating game against its rival show in ABS CBN, “Showtime”.

Here’s the comparative household ratings:

Kantar Media (formerly TNS) among national households:  Kapuso Movie Festival: I will Always Love You (GMA-7) 16.5%; Showtime (ABS-CBN) 7.9%.

AGB Nielsen among Mega Manila households:  Kapuso Movie Festival: I will Always Love You (GMA-7) 7.1%; Showtime (ABS-CBN) 3.8%.

The featured movie topped the daytime programs among national households based on Kantar Media survey and came second among Mega Manila households based on AGB Nielsen Survey.

It is a good development getting to see Angel’s old movies since this is our chance to see her in our TV screen while waiting for the telecast of her much anticipated TV series, Imortal.  I hope GMA-7 would consider as well showing a re-run of her old TV shows like Mulawin, Darna, Majika, Asian Treasures, Click and other old shows since I came to watch only her shows when she transferred in ABS CBN.

iEmmy-nominated for best actress Angel Locsin has been chosen as recipient of the “Icon Award” in “Us Girls August Awards 2010″.  Sunstar reported that Angel was chosen by staff of the premiere lifestyle program because of  her multiple commercial endorsements, big television projects, and her involvement in helping fellow Filipinos.

Angel is a known supporter of women’s rights group Gabriela, rallies for children orphaned by the conflict in Mindano, and has organized last year the Shop and Share online auction of co-celebrities prized possession raising one million pesos to help the victims of  typhoon Ondoy in addition to her personal time she dedicated to personally help out the typhoon victims as well as her own expensive bags she included for charity auction, and money she anonymously donated, which was later discovered amounting to six hundred thousand pesos.  Click here to check out our previous blogs on Angel’s humanitarian causes and here for Angel’s activities during typhoon Ondoy.
